Sheet Mask Review: Oozoo Face Gold Foilayer Mask
I’ve never used anything from The Oozoo before, they are Korean beauty company that’s trying to push the boundaries of skincare using new technology/innovation. If you check out their website, you’ll quickly discover unique products and packaging. I was gifted this mask by one of my fellow skincare addict friends who swears by its hydration factor. I’ve always loved the look of metallic masks, so I was thrilled to have been gifted one!
This mask is very interesting in that it’s quite thick — like a blanket on my face thick. It’s made up of three layers to avoid the serum evaporating, this happens with most masks once they come in contact with air. Basically making sure the serum and active ingredients stay put on your face for the duration of application.
The serum is made up of 60% Saccharomyces Ferment Filtrate; which is brewers yeast (hello affordable SKU-II essence) that brings hydration and elasticity back into your skin, ultimately making it look more radiant. It also contains coffee arabica see oil extract, which is a protein that contains amino acids to help improve damage skin and hydration.
This mask was a joy to apply. Due to the thickness it had a nice cozy feeling to it, and it actually hugged my face quite nicely. I couldn’t sense any fragrance, which is a plus in my book, and there wasn’t a weird cooling or warming sensation during application. Once the golden sheets were removed, the gel like serum absorbed very quickly without leaving any sticky residue behind. No break outs or irritations from this mask. You will get a lot of bang for your buck with this one, due to all of the excess serum left behind in the package. Highly recommend!
What I like About it
It comes in two pieces, so it hugs your skin really nicely.
There is a ton of serum in the bottom of the packaging, you can use this on your neck and chest or save for later. Excess serum gave me 3 days of face/neck coverage.
Doesn’t really have a fragrance to it.
The serum isn’t sticky at all, almost gel like.
Absorbed really quickly after I removed the mask from my face.
After application I had a really nice hydrated glow.
Didn’t irritate my skin or break me out.
What Don’t I like About it
I don’t know where to purchase it again!
How to use
Cleanse and tone your face before application. Apply the top and bottom portion of the mask, fabric side on the face (white side). Leave on for 10-20 mins. Pat in any remaining essence. Proceed with the rest of your skincare routine.
