This is another mask I grabbed during my supermarket sweep in Asia. Innisfree is one of my favorite k-beauty skincare lines, really love their hand masks. If you haven’t heard of Innisfree, it’s Korea’s first natural beauty shop, where they’re committed to using 70% of natural ingredients within their products. Their facility is actually on a green tea farm, which is pretty cool.

For this particular mask, it’s tailored to tackle winter weather, giving you a boost of hydration with their oil serum! They formulated the actual mask material out of Jeju fermented green bean, which gives it that second skin feel — it truly feels like skin, and it’s kinda creepy. The green bean material actually helps address a few concerns: improving the skin barrier, skin texture, balance water content, skin elasticity and skin transparency.

The milky white oil-based serum thats generously infused into the mask, helps with your skins hydration and moisture levels. What’s not to like about that? Especially with winter right around the corner.

So what do I think about this mask? Overall I think it’s an incredible mask for hydration and my skin looked great after using it. People who lean more dry would benefit greatly from this mask. My skin type is pretty oily, so the formula didn’t absorb as quickly into my skin. Next time, i’ll be sure to use this mask at night.

Application was the tricky part. Because of the mask material, it was hard to keep it from sticking to itself. It actually felt like I was playing with chicken skin… err. Once I was able squish the mask onto my face, it felt really nice on my skin, no other issues. After I removed the mask, the serum took a while to absorb but my skin had a nice glow, and was very hydrated. Highly recommend getting this mask, Innisfree does it again!

High level bullet points, and basically a recap on the pros/cons here:

What I like About it

  • The mask itself feels soft on the face and the formula is velvety.

  • Doesn’t have any smell to it.

  • This mask would be perfect for those of you who have dry skin, it may be a bit too much for oily skin folks like myself.

  • It left my skin with a nice dewy finish. Felt really hydrated.

  • Skin felt really smooth. Will be a great mask to use again when the weather is cold and dry.

What Don’t I like About it

  • The texture of the mask really does feel like skin, and it kinda grossed me out a little.

  • You have to make sure you massage the remaining serum into your face or there will just be concentrated spots of serum.

  • Hard to apply due to the material of the mask, but it does feel really nice on the face once you get it on.

  • The serum doesn’t absorb quickly into the skin after you remove the mask. May absorb faster for the dry skin folks. I would recommend using at night since it takes a little while to do so.

How to use

After you clean and tone your face, remove the texture film from ONE side of the mask (will be easier to apply). Put the exposed side of the mask onto your face avoid eyes and lips. Remove the second textured film from the mask and leave on for 10-20 minutes. Remove mask and pat any extra formula into the skin and let absorb.
