Rosehip

What is Rosehip?

Pronounced rōz′hĭp’, is an oil, also known as rosehip seed oil. Is extracted from the fruit and seeds of the rosa canina rose bush. Is packed with Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, B1, B2, B3, K and fatty acids.

What will it do?

It has many healing properties and is great for people with sensitive skin — but really fine to use for any skin type. Benefits include brightening and evening out your skin tone, locking in moisture keeping skin hydrated, reduces inflammation (bye acne!), fights free radicals (thank you Vitamin C), boosts collagen and the elasticity of the skin, and even helps reduce the appearance of scars! Really this is a skincare super ingredient. You can use this product both morning and night.

Tip

Rosehip oil is high in Vitamin A, so I wouldn’t recommend mixing it with products that contain retinoids.

Rosehip can be applied directly to your skin or be use as a carrier oil for other facial oils

Store your rosehip in a cool dark place so it doesn’t spoil or reduce the impact of the ingredient.
