Skincare For Your Neck, Do You Need It?

Dr Macrene 37 actives neck anti aging To Dew List review

Let me be real for a second, who thinks they actually need skincare specifically formulated for their neck? I fall into the “no” camp… Feels kinda like a marketing gimmick, similar to hair fragrance.

I admit, the texture of my skin is slowly changing: not as soft anymore, starting to get that chicken-skin vibe (cool). I’m pretty good about moisturizing my body, including my neck and chest. I also put the same skincare products on my neck that I do on my face. So trying this product I was 100% skeptical, not quite knowing what’s the point.

But… this is the anti-aging skincare product I didn’t know I needed.

I got the Dr. Macrene 37 Actives, High Performance Neck and Décolletage Treatment within the Violet Grey’s Women Made Box. This was an amazing set where all products were made by women-owned companies. The skincare line is named 37 Actives because according to Dr. Macrene, there are 37 ingredients that actually keep you skin intact as you age and help reverse the signs of aging. This product targets elasticity and helps with reversing the signs of sun damage.

This serum is packed with some really great stuff. For starters we got some amino acids in there which helps firm sagging skin. Vitamin C, E and ferulic acids help with brightening the skin and protecting your skin from pollution and harmful environmental elements. Red algae, tyrosine, and ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) targets aging skin.

Within a week of using this I truly saw a difference. I think this is an incredible anti-aging product and makes you skin feel fantastic. My neck is the softest i’ve ever felt it, and noticed the crepe-like or chicken-skin slowly disappearing. The formula is incredibly light weight, easy to massage all over the skin, absorbs nicely. I hate when you have an expensive product and it feels like it just dissolves before you even can apply it — this product doesn’t do that. There isn’t a scent at all, which I love and haven’t gotten any irritations or negative reactions from it. Used the serum both on my neck and chest in upward motions, going against gravity. All in all, really love this product. Top 10 for sure.

But do you need a neck specific anti-aging product? I did some research, and while the neck skin is quite different than other parts of your body, it’s made up of a totally different cell composition. It’s much thinner and more prone to wrinkling. Do you need a separate neck cream, no. Is it a good reminder to take care of your neck if you have one, yes. In conclusion, I loved this product so much, but because of the price point probably wont purchase it again.

Here’s a summary of my thoughts below, don’t forget to take care of your full face, which includes your neck!

What I like About it

  • It works.

  • Made my neck incredibly soft and got rid of the texture.

  • No scent at all.

  • The formula is light weight, spreads on very easily and absorbs quickly.

What Don’t I like About it

  • It’s so freakin expensive.
